Chris Tanev scores overtime winner as Canucks beat Oilers 3-2

      The Vancouver Canucks staged a remarkable come-from-behind victory in Edmonton tonight, sealing the deal in overtime.

      Defenceman Chris Tanev scored the game winner at 4:40 of the extra period, with assists going to Henrik and Daniel Sedin.

      It was Tanev's first goal in a Canucks uniform.

      Edmonton's Ales Hemsky and Ryan Smyth scored the first two goals before Jannik Hansen narrowed the gap at 12:41 of the second period.

      The Canucks tied the match at 17:43 of the third period on Kevin Bieksa's slap shot.

      Vancouver outshot the Oilers 40 to 25, including 15-4 in the second period.

      Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo posted his third win of the year. His goals-against average of 1.53 and save percentage of .940 are both third in the National Hockey Leage
