Fox News attacks Wiccans

    1 of 1 2 of 1

The brain trust at Fox News displayed its usual imperfect grasp of complex issues in a discussion of the state of affairs at the University of Missouri, which recently put Wiccan holidays on par with Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Hanukkah.

At this point, I feel rather like the beleaguered parent of a consistently misbehaving child, in that I’m disappointed but not all that surprised.

I'm with you on this one, Jennie! What nonsense. This news segment must have been orchestrated by very afraid and ignorant men who don't realize that the 'christian' calendar of holidays were implemented to 'replace' festivals, holidays and events already celebrated by people who lived in harmony with all elements of life on earth. Typical religious hypocrites resorting to lies, brain-washing and guilt in the name of their 'religion'. Before the 'christianity' age (waaay back to Stonehenge time)there was peace on earth because it was a Matriarchal society. Man has reinvented Christ's message for man's convenience. Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if ALL media chose to ignore the ignorant incompetence of Faux News?

Let the sheep watch it, and protect more intelligent species from the nonsense.

I am a practicing Wiccan, a political conservative, and I will no longer be viewing Fox News. What utter tripe and the so called "journalists" should be ashamed. BTW, I am a teacher and have NEVER played Dungeons and Dragons, and don't fit any of their stereotypes. Oh, for good measure, we have 8 holidays, not 20. What the Hell??? Ignorant jerks.

That was pretty rude. I am not a Wiccan or Pagan, but I did study Journalism for a bit. I do know that professional journalists are supposed to research their subject first before either reporting any news or stating their opinion. Clearly these people did no such thing. I am no expert on Pagan beliefs, but I do know that what was said here is extremely stereotypical to all Wiccans. You cannot judge a person for their religion. First of all it is unprofessional and secondly it is just rude.

And on a personal note... I love Halloween. It is my favorite holiday. And it isn't just about kids dressing up and getting candy. If you did your homework you would understand why Halloween is important to some people. I do not celebrate nor care about Christmas, but I do not go around insulting the holiday or the people who do celebrate it.

Please do some fact checks before opening your mouth. Thank you. :)

I am not happy with the way the hosts are bashing Wiccans and Pagans in this video it was rude, heartless, and unprofessional.
You could have discussed the story in regards to the college in Missouri with out all the rude and bully type comments!!!!!
Freedom of speech is permitted as long as it doesn't interfere with the rights of others or cause harm. Being bullies and making fun of someone's religion is harmful.
I am just a regular person who loves her county, tax paying citizen, and who isn't antigovernment who happens to be Wiccan.
Perhaps some Tolerence coarses and HR videos on how to respect others are in order for these hosts as your viewers we are your customers and deserve basic respect and civility. Being a view of FOX I hope the Hosts realize the error in their lack of judgement in the choice of hurtful rude comments and apologize for the unsavory display.
I would hate to have to stop viewing anything related to your network as it is my favorite on because of this issue if it remains no apologies are made.
I know I am sending this out to vast word filled cyber space and will probably not be seen nor taken seriousously at least I know I tried.

I am Wiccan and it is bad enough that i have to deal with kids in the school picking on my children for being Wiccan but to have to deal with adults doing in on TV that is to much. We have the freedom religion. I would never pick on some one because they are not of the same religion. what they said was wrong and hurt full.

The sad thing? Those commentators are not unintelligent people. They wouldn't be able to get work in the journalism field otherwise.

However, that does not mean they aren't mind-numbingly stupid. Believe it or not, stupidity is not a lack of intelligence, but a refusal to use it.

As for Tucker Carlson's statement, "call me a bigot..."-well, we don't have to now, do we?
