Stereotype.fm roots out music fans' personality quirks

    1 of 1 2 of 1

Elton John fans are most likely to have a tattoo, while Herbie Hancock fans are the least likely to have inked their skin.

The majority of Kylie Minogue fans (84 percent) say they've been cheated on.

And fans of the Misfits are the most likely to be drunk right now.

These are some of the hilarious insights gleaned from Stereotype.fm, a website that crunches user details from social-media-meets-music website Tastebuds.

Created as a "hack weekend" project by the Tastebuds team, Stereotype.fm facts were compiled from surveys and user data from over 100,000 Tastebuds users.

The results are as amusing as they are revealing.

Carlos Santana fans are the most likely to think music used to be better, while Weird Al fans are the most likely to masturbate daily (62 percent).

The site's got some limitations: there's no data for, say, fans of Hot Tuna or Arlo Guthrie, but there's enough info on the site to keep you entertained for hours.

A few more hilarious insights: Nickelback fans are most likely to agree with the death penalty (86 percent), Wavves fans are the least likely to be happy people (12 percent report being "nearly always unhappy", and 80 percent of Ween fans admit they've tried hard drugs.
