Report alleges Hugo Chavez has died

There's been a lot of disinformation peddled over the years about Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.

So we're naturally a little skeptical over a report in Voxxi that the cancer-stricken strongman has died.

The source is Guillermo Cochez, a former Panamanian ambassador to the Organization of American States, who cites unnamed sources in the Venezuelan government and armed forces.

It's not the first time that Cochez has claimed that Chavez has passed away. He lost his job at the OAS last month for making a similar claim.

A week ago, Chavez announced over Twitter that he was returning home after receiving medical treatment in Cuba. He's undergone surgery four times for cancer.
