Fraser Valley Wedding Show offers brides short, sweet event

With wedding season just a few months away, events to help brides plan the big day are in full swing across the Lower Mainland. At the start of 2013, the large-scale Wedding Fair, posh Engage at the Vancouver Club, and more off-beat Indie I Do shows took place. In April, the playful Bridal Swap will take place at the Roundhouse Community Centre, while a new event called My Dream Wedding Show will grace the Shangri-La Hotel.

Most wedding shows are weekend-long occasions; however, brides—particularly those located in the Fraser Valley—looking for a shorter event may want to pop by the Fraser Valley Wedding Festival happening today (March 4) from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Coast Hotel and Convention Centre (20393 Fraser Highway, Langley).

The Fraser Valley Wedding Festival will feature over 50 wedding exhibitors, a fashion show, décor showcase, cake decorating contest, and prizes. Some of this year’s exhibitors include wedding gowns from David’s Bridal and Everything But The Groom; table décor ideas by Angel Kisses Decorating; desserts by Frostings Cupcakery, Sugar Patisserie, Swirl Pops, and Sweet Thea Cakes; and wedding photography by Silver Studio Photography, Lisa Porter Photography, and more.

Tickets are $5 and $1 for every ticket sale will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society.
