Clint Eastwood supports the gays

He might play an angry old white guy in—well, everything—but don't assume that Clint Eastwood is just your regular demented right wing American asshole. 

A document released by the American Foundation for Equal Rights shows that Eastwood was one of 80 California Republicans who signed a legal brief calling for the U.S. supreme court to overturn Proposition 8, the state's ban on same-sex marriages.

According to a poll quoted in The Guardian, 61 percent of California's voters "are now in favour of same-sex marriage," including at least one who doesn't want you on his lawn. 

Eastwood's feelings about the rights of gay chairs is presumably another matter entirely.
