Vancouver to play host to 2014 CFL Grey Cup
According to multiple reports, the B.C. Lions and the Canadian Football League will announce tomorrow morning that the 2014 Grey Cup game will be played in Vancouver. The Lions have called a Friday morning news conference for B.C. Place Stadium but won't confirm what will be revealed.
The stadium hosted the 2011 championship shortly after it was re-opened following 18 months of upgrades including a new retractable roof. The hometown Lions won that game defeating Winnipeg 34-23. Since it opened in 1982, B.C. Place Stadium has played host to the CFL title game eight times (1983, 1986, 1987, 1990, 1994, 1999, 2005, and 2011).
This year's Grey Cup will take place in Regina.
