The Georgia Straight presents Loreena McKennitt at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre

Live Nation has announced that Canadian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Loreena McKennitt will perform an all-ages show at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Tuesday, August 13, as part of her summer mini-tour of western Canada. 

Based in Stratford, Ontario, McKennitt is known for her soprano vocals and Celtic-inspired world music. 

"I'm truly excited to be heading back to places that hold such fond memories,” says the Grammy-nominated artist. “The musicians and I have had great audiences in the West, and as someone born and raised under a prairie sky there's always something extra special about being there.”

 Tickets for the show are priced at $39.50, $49.50, and $69 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (March 22) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website. 

Tickets will also be available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000 and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
