The Only Child Collective presents Three Sisters, a play by Anton Chekhov, at the Vancity Culture Lab (1895 Venables Street) from March 30 to April 20. Performances start at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, 8 p.m. on Wednesdays to Saturdays, 1 p.m. for Wednesday matinees, and 3 p.m. for Sunday matinees.

Three Sisters was written in 1900 and tells the story of four aristocratic siblings: Olga, Masha, Irina, and brother Andrei. The play follows their fall from social prominence and remains relevant today—despite the differences between modern-day Vancouver and czarist Russia.

Directed by Jane Heyman, Three Sisters features Rachel Aberle, David Bloom, Tim Carlson, Bob Frazer, Fosy Frier-Dryden, Manami Hara, Richard Newman, Adele Noronha, Luc Roderique, Alex Rose, William Samples, Emma Slipp, and Braham Taylor. The play also features script adaptation by Amiel Gladstone, set design by Pam Johnson, costumes by Mara Gottler, lighting by Itai Erdal, stage management by Carol Chrisjohn, assistant direction by Cameron Mackenzie Daveau, assistance stage management by Carol Macdonald, and production by Jessie Johnston.

Tickets to Three Sisters are $14 to $28 and are available through the Cultch box office at 604-251-1363 or online.
