Holy crap, Americans are 3-D printing guns

    1 of 1 2 of 1

When I think of 3-D printing technology, images of plastic Yoda figurines and synthetic hearts come to mind. Harmless and potentially life-saving stuff.

What about guns? A Vice documentary looks at Cody Wilson, who is making semi-automatic rifle parts in his Texas home using 3-D printing.

Forget about the right to bear arms. Arms manufacturing just went DIY.

Keep in mind, that any well equipped workshop has much better tools on hand to build a firearm than a 3d printer (which typically only prints with plastic filament).

Bullets and gun powder still aren't 3d printable.
