      Victoria cop used excessive force  An Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner adjudicator has ruled that Victoria constable Chris Bowser used excessive force when he kicked and kneed a man outside a bar in March 2010. After video of the incident went viral over YouTube, his actions were defended by the department.

      Vancouver man alleges police brutality  Andishae Akhavan, 28, has alleged that he was punched by a plainclothes Vancouver police officer. Video is available here.

      Carbon trading slammed  Auditor General John Doyle has issued a report declaring that a Crown corporation, Pacific Carbon Trust, "has not purchased credible offsets". He claimed that the Darkwoods Forest Carbon Project in southwest B.C. and Encana's underbalanced drilling project in northeastern B.C. would have proceeded without millions of dollars in carbon offsets.

      Trucking group wants Massey tunnel replaced  The B.C. Trucking Association has cited safety concerns to support its claim that the George Massey Tunnel should be replaced by a new crossing over the Fraser River.
