Adrian Dix and NDP poke fun at attack ads with April Fools' Day video

Over the weekend, I heard a radio attack ad that highlighted B.C. NDP Leader Adrian Dix's backdated memo and SkyTrain ticketWith the New Democrats looking unstoppable heading into the May election, however, the party's ads are going to stay positive, despite how negative the B.C. Liberals and their friends go.

The NDP's latest campaign video is a good example of this. In an email to party supporters this morning (April 1), NDP deputy campaign director Jan O'Brien introduced it:

Late last night, I was made aware of a new political attack ad so scandalous, so outrageous and so offensive that I felt compelled to rise well before dawn to send you this urgent alert.

If you have children with you, I ask you to have them leave the room before you press play. They don’t need to know that politics can descend to this level.

The video takes on the format of an anti-Dix ad but is just a semi-amusing April Fools' joke.
