Lady Gaga joins X-Men cast—possibly not

According to Bryan Singer's twitter, Lady Gaga has landed the role of Dazzler in X-Men: Days of Future Past. 

Gaga will join Jennifer Lawrence, sexy Nicholas Hoult, and Hugh Jackman in the film, which is based on an old Moody Blues record which marks the director's return to the franchise after he bowed out with X2 in 2003.

Naturally, a lot of people are wondering if it's an April Fool's Day joke. Comicbook.com wrote: "If it is an April Fool’s Day joke, he’s also managed to trick one of the most reliable entertainment sites around, because Variety is reporting it as if it’s a serious casting announcement."

Which is a very good point if you factor out that Variety has actually pulled the article...
