The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors The Elektra Women’s Choir’s To Music

Vancouver’s Elektra Women’s Choir presents To Music, a tribute to the art of music, at Ryerson United Church (2195 West 45^th Avenue) on May 11 at 7:30 p.m.

To Music will cover Bach to Joni Mitchell—and everyone in between. Songs will include those traditionally sung at church to coffee-house favourites. The Elektra Women’s Choir will feature special guest, Canadian soprano Nancy Argenta, who will perform two Purcell songs and a rare full performance of Schubert’s song cycle, “The Shepherd on the Rock”.
