Lost passport leads to cancellation of tonight's Brad Mehldau show

Here’s hoping that you haven’t spent the past week looking forward to nothing but tonight’s sold-out Brad Mehldau Trio gig at the Kay Meek Centre in West Vancouver.

Unfortunately, the star of the show—that would be Mehldau—has run into a slight problem. Evidently, no matter how celebrated an American jazz pianist you are, you aren’t getting across the Canadian border without a passport. Mehldau has lost his, which has resulted in the cancellation of tonight’s Kay Meek Centre show.

The good news is that Cap Jazz has already announced a replacement date of May 5. Hopefully Mehldau will have found his passport by then.
