Vancouver-based Cloudscape Comics Society has a new anthology of West Coast talent in the works, and it's looking for help to make it a reality.

Every year, the nonprofit artists' group releases a graphic novel anthology based on a specific subject. For its seventh compilation, due out July 12, Cloudscape has gone with a nautical theme. Waterlogged: Tales From the Seventh Sea will feature the work of more than 30 B.C. artists in a hardcover book boasting 200-plus pages. Some of the comics creators involved are Sam Logan (Sam & Fuzzy), Angela Melick (Wasted Talent), Nina Matsumoto (Yokaiden), Colin Upton (Postmodern Mini-Comics), Gabriel Frizzera, Lucy Bellwood (Baggywrinkles), Jonathon Dalton (A Mad Tea-Party), Laura Bifano, and Jeff Ellis (Teach English in Japan).

Cloudscape has determined that it needs $6,500 for printing and shipping, and it has set up an Indiegogo campaign to help cover those costs. With 30 days left to go in the campaign, the organization has, as of this writing, raised $3,095.
