This year's already stellar-looking Squamish Valley Music Festival has just got even better thanks to another injection of local talent.

Organizers have announced the addition of Vancouver indie favourites the Boom Booms, Portage & Main, and the Belle Game to this year's event, taking place at Hendrickson Fields and Logger Sports Ground August 8 to 10. Also added to the lineup are Dragonette, Matt Mays, Foy Vance, Family of the Year, and Madeon.

They join a roster that includes the international likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, Gogol Bordello, and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Homegrown heavy hitters scheduled to perform include Dan Mangan, Said the Whale, Yukon Blonde, the Ballantynes, and the Matinee.

Festival organizers brand.LIVE and Live Nation Canada have also announced that single-day tickets ($89 plus service charges) will go on sale this Friday (May 10). Early bird tickets are already on sale at www.squamishfestival.com and www.ticketmaster.ca.

Those hoping to camp out the entire weekend have also received some good news, as tent-site capacity has just been increased.
