Fox panel is threatened by female breadwinners

With the news that four out of 10 American households with children have women as the sole or primary earner in the family, the Fox paranoia machine appears to have gone into overdrive.

On a recent segment of Lou Dobbs's business program, Fox contributor Juan Williams opined that this phenomenon is indicative of "something going terribly wrong in American society." Dobbs himself says the situation is akin to "watching society dissolve around us."

In an effort to justify these statements, Erick Erickson voices the opinion that "when you look at biology, look at the natural world, the roles of a male and female in society, and the other animals, the male typically is the dominant role. The female, it's not antithesis, or it's not competing, it's a complementary role."

He goes on to say that, as a society, we have "lost the ability to have complementary relationships in nuclear families, and it's tearing us apart."

      Uh huh.

This pathetic attempt to use “biology” as an excuse for propping up their preconceived notions of social norms is deliciously ironic given the tendency of such people to detest “biology” (e.g. evolution) in the first place. But then again it’s not like these pundits actually believe anything they say. That age is passed, today they are akin to advertising executives, willing to say anything if it guarantees more income.

Maybe if men stepped up, and helped support (financially and emotionally) the children they sired, the world would be 'righted'.
