Video of Grammy-nominated rapper Afroman punching a woman in the face on stage has gone viral.

The incident happened last night in Biloxi, Mississippi, after a woman got on stage somehow and started dancing next to the 40-year-old, whose real name is Joseph Edgar Foreman.

When she got too close for comfort, apparently, Foreman reeled off and punched her with all he had, it appears. What's surprising is how quickly she gets up, then glares at her attacker as if to say, "What the fuck's eatin' you?"

A man in a baseball cap climbs on stage to accompany her away, but no word yet on whether Foreman said, "You want some of this, bitch!" before the guy makes a "take-it-easy, dude" gesture with his hands.

According to police, the woman filed an official complaint against Foreman, who was arrested and charged with misdemeanor simple assault, then released on US$330 bail.

In this other video from a different angle you can see that the woman lands on the corner of the drum riser, which could have caused serious injury. In this clip it also appears as though Foreman had his hand open before swinging, so maybe it was more of a vicious roundhouse slap than a punch.

Either way, what a prick, eh?

Not only a shitty guitar player but a shitty person. That guy who got up should have knocked him out.

Prick? Animal? You have no clue what this man's history, past potential abuse, etc. If someone unannounced and uninvited started rubbing up against me, my apologies, but I would have done the exact same thing he did. She's an early contender for the 2015 Darwin Awards.
