Canucks power forward Zack Kassian was on the ice for fewer than 12 minutes, but he still managed to tip in two goals in New Jersey this afternoon.

But his sixth and seventh of the season were the only pucks that beat former Canucks goalie Cory Schneider as his New Jersey Devils went on to a 4-2 victory.

The Devils raced out to a 3-0 lead by 2:58 of the second period on goals by Patrik Elias, Jordin Tootoo, and Mike Cammalleri. The latter came on a power play with Linden Vey in the box.

Kassian's goals—each assisted by the Sedin brothers—made the game close in the third period.

However, an empty netter by Cammalleri on a Canucks power play put the game out of reach late in the third period.

After this loss, Vancouver remains in second place in the Pacific Division, one point ahead of Calgary and San Jose.

The Flames are hosting the division-leading Ducks in Anaheim tonight.
