      Detroit R&B singer-songwriter JMSN tours in support of latest release at the Electric Owl.

      The Georgia Straight presents Canadian indie-pop band Stars playing tunes from new album No One Is Lost at the Vogue Theatre.

      Canadian rock group Sam Roberts Band and guests the River and the Road and Pigeon Park take the stage at the Commodore Ballroom.

      The Rogue Folk Club presents Canadian singer-songwriter Fred Eaglesmith at the St. James Hall.

      Berlin-based DJ Objekt performs at the Fox Cabaret with local musicians Michael Red and FrumLater.

      At Studio East, the Soul'd Out Masquerade features variety performers, live music, and DJs.

      UBC hosts Press Start, a two-day conference on Japanese video games and gaming culture.

      Shaping Vancouver explores how the city’s heritage conservation is managed. Held at SFU's Woodward's Cultural Programs at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.

       

      COMEDY

      Hot Art Wet City hosts Vancouverite, an evening of comedy by Andy Kallstrom, Levi McCachen, John Guy, Chelsea McNabb, Jenny Toews, and hosts Amber Harper-Young and Brent Constantine.

       

      DANCE

      DanceHouse presents Canadian contemporary-dance group Compagnie Marie Chouinard at the Vancouver Playhouse.

       

      THEATRE

      SFU School for the Contemporary Arts presents An Encounter With the Unnatural and Accidental Women at SFU's Woodward's Cultural Programs at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts.

       

      MUSIC

      The Roy Barnett Recital Hall hosts Music on the Point, featuring music by Piazzolla, Aronis, Raff, Eychenne, Defontaine, and Resanovic.

      The University Singers and the UBC Choral Union present music by Bach and Orff at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.

       

      MOVIES

      At the Holy Rosary Cathedral, a screening of 1927 film The King of Kings is accompanied by a live soundtrack by Vancouver organist Edward Norman.
