Farmers market coming to Yaletown
Yaletown residents will soon see a farmers market in the neighbourhood. The B.C. Association of Farmers’ Markets announced on July 3 that the Yaletown farmers market will launch on August 15 and run Thursdays from 2 to 6 p.m. until September 26.
While vendors have yet to be confirmed, the market will take place on Mainland Street between Helmcken and Davie streets, which will be closed off from vehicle traffic during market times.
The Yaletown farmers market is part of the City of Vancouver’s VIVA Vancouver outdoor public space initiative in partnership with the Yaletown Business Improvement Association. This is the 11th farmers market in Vancouver and the second one downtown. The West End farmers market takes place across from Nelson Park on Saturdays.

Wouldn't this make 3? Or does the Shangri-La's not count.

Hi Jen,
You're correct. The Shangri-La Hotel puts on its own luxury farmers market each week, but it isn't associated with the B.C. Association of Farmers' Markets.

Right on. The West End farmers market is just a bit too far for me. Can't we have it year round?
