New doc pours sunlight on frankenfoods

The EPIC Sustainable Living Festival has scored a hell of premiere with the documentary GMO OMG, screening at the VanDusen Floral Hall, on Saturday (July 6).

Jeremy Seifert’s film exposes the environmental, health and economic risks of genetically modified foods, now a huge and largely hidden component of our diet courtesy of the good folks who also brought us Agent Orange and Roundup.

If you haven’t quite decided whether you’re on side with the millions who demonstrated worldwide against GMO in May, or with the one U.S. president who signed the so-called “Monsanto Protection Act” into law a few days earlier—this film might help!

Typical fearmongering. The shots in Africa are especially disturbing since the irrational ban on GMO crops mean that people are literally starving to death so that rich western liberals can preserve some illusory "natural" ideals.

My daughter gets really sick when she eats GMOs. Not sure what exactly in GMOs make her so sick but she can eat organically grown of the same and she's fine.

I'm Not Monsantos Lab Rat, If I have Round-up and their other toxic chemicals in my body I should have the right to sue them for ilegally contamanating my body.

There is no info. if the food trucks at the so called "Epic Sustainable Living Festival" are using ingredients containing GMO's.

And btw-there is nothing sustainable about food trucks and their throw away containers and dishes even if they are compostable-it's just creating waste and pollution.
