The submerging world of Grand Theft Auto returns better and bigger than ever

The latest Grand Theft Auto V trailer was released today (July 9), which showcases actual game play.

In 2008, GTA IV seemed to stretch the limits on what is possible with current generation consoles, but they weren’t done. Not even close.

The new trailer shows us that games don’t have to be a one-trick pony. This GTA has everything, and I mean everything, from flying planes to doing yoga. You can even play the stock market and go on bike rides.

The GTA world goes below and into the ocean and the game allows you to go scuba diving. Older GTA games gave the character the ability to swim which is a nice change from the instant death you got when going into water like most games. Adding scuba diving will be a fun new element.

It looks like there is almost too much to do in the game, it’s crazy.

The storyline aspect has been tweaked as well. Instead of one hero in the game, there are three would-be heroes to play. Their stories intertwine throughout the game and you’ll be able to strategize your heists which will create different dialogues and outcomes. The game looks very cool and even more boisterous than previous GTA games.

So mark September 17 on your calendars and get someone to hold your calls for a few months.

Watch a preview for Grand Theft Auto V.
