Nine-year-old Elias Tyson Venegas wows Canucks fans with Canadian and U.S. national anthems

Elias Tyson Venegas has won the B.C. Junior Talent Search as well as the PNE Star Showdown.

The nine-year-old Surrey singing sensation even met Michael Bublé at the PNE.

Last night, Venegas probably sang to his largest audience yet when he belted out a capella versions of the Star Spangled Banner and O Canada at Rogers Arena.

He not only reached a huge crowd in the seats, but also anyone tuned in on TV to watch the St. Louis Blues play the Vancouver Canucks.

I can't recall ever hearing such a loud ovation for the American national anthem in Vancouver. This kid has no shortage of confidence.

I couldn't find Venegas's performance last night on YouTube. But below, here's a snippet of him singing O Canada last year in Surrey to another large gathering.

I saw his performance last night and he was absolutely amazing! For a little boy to have such a strong voice and presence at this young age can lead us to assume that we will see him perform again and again!

Thank you for posting this article. He's an amazing young artist. Tyson recently sang at the Canada Winter Games Opening Ceremonies in Prince George a couple of weeks ago. He's definitely one kid you want to follow. He's an incredible artist and at such a young age. Blows me away, that's for sure.
