The Mortal Coil Performance Society presents Salmon Row at the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site (5180 Westwater Drive, Steveston) from August 16 to September 1. Performances run Tuesdays to Sundays at 8 p.m.

Salmon Row is a remounting of Mortal Coil’s 2011 hit show, which recounts the stories of fishing communities around Steveston. During performances, the Britannia Shipyards come alive with cannery workers and their families.

Mortal Coil is the same production team behind the Stanley Park Ghost Train and Bright Nights. Salmon Row is written by Nicola Harwood, with original music by Tobin Stokes. The site-specific play is directed by Peter Hall and features Reneltta Arluk, Samuel Bob, Nyla Carpentier, Diane Garceau, Patrick Keating, Sean McQuillan, Jim Preston, Alvin Sanders, Tetsuro Shigematsu, Alan Wong, Donna Yamamoto, James Ji, and the T’skaya (Coastal Wolf Pack) dancers.

Salmon Row also features musical direction by Steven Charles, set design by Yvan Morissette, light design by Gerald King, costume design by Barbara Clayden, mask and puppet design by Frank Rader, and video projection by Tim Matheson.

Tickets to Salmon Row can be purchased online through the Gateway Theatre box office.
