Stephenie Meyer is "so over" vampires and werewolves

In a recent interview, author Stephenie Meyer told Variety that for her, the Twilight franchise isn't "a happy place to be" and that revisiting Bella, Jacob, and Edward is an increasingly unlikely prospect.

Fair enough. Meyer did face quite a setback when chapters of the Edward-narrated Midnight Sun were released without her authorization in 2008. She later declined to continue developing the book.

More likely, however, is the fact that producing and promoting other projects like Austenland with her production company Fickle Fish Films leaves her little time to dwell on past projects.

Meyer does admit that there is a slight possibility that the series isn't completely over. She notes that she would probably do "three paragraphs on [her] blog saying which of the charactes died."

In the meantime, though, the author says that she's more intrigued by the works of world-building author J. R. R. Tolkien.

      Watch out, Middle-Earth.

No, please stephanie meyer for the love of god do not continue writing. After reading the twilight series to see what all the hype was about I came to the conclusion that it was Horrible! If you set aside the stupid ass story line and focus on the writing it isn't hard to notice that even that sucks. Her writing style is such shit. I would have liked the books a lot better if written by somebody with more talent.
