UBC A Capella Club sings for better transit and a yes vote in the plebiscite

UBC students know as well as anyone who overcrowded the Lower Mainland bus system can be.

Just try hopping on one of those 99-B vehicles headed to the Point Grey campus during weekdays and you, too, can endure what they experience throughout the school year.

This is why some postsecondary students are getting so engaged in the transit plebiscite.

UBC's A Capella Club decided to get creative with its concerns.

If you listen closely to the video above, you'll hear the following lyrics:

"We used to take my car cause it's never been beat

But my carbon footprint caused the earth to heat

None of the buses miss a stop cause it wouldn't be right

To make a student late to school cause they can’t ride a bike

      I get around

      I transit to town

      It's an affordable way

      To get to work today

Get around round round I get around

So go and vote Vote Vote in the referendum!"
