Bollywood Star audition to be held in Vancouver

      Hey Canadians, are you a triple-threat who thinks you have what it takes to be Canada's next top Bollywood star? A chance to prove it is coming to our fair city.

      Following the format of U.K. and Australian versions, the four-part docu-reality series Bollywood Star will follow performers competing for a role in a Bollywood film.

      The top six finalists will be flown to Mumbai, India, where they will be put through a rigorous Bollywood bootcamp.

      The judges will consist of all-Canadian panel that will include:

      Amal filmmaker Richie Mehta

      Midnight's Children actor Anita Majumdar, who hails from Port Moody, B.C.

      Amal actor Rupinder Nagra

      An open-call audition will be held in Vancouver on September 21 at the Vancouver Convention Centre, while a Toronto audition will be held on September 28.
