Social isolation caused by smartphone obsession depicted in short film
How often have you ever hung out with someone who was more plugged into his or her smartphone than you? Or have you ever hung out with a group of people who did the same?
L.A.–based actor Charlene deGuzman wrote and stars in the short film "I Forgot My Phone" that depicts how isolating it can be to be surrounded by people obsessed with being more connected to others through their smartphones than who they are physically with in the real world.
It's something to think about the next time you're out with others and find yourself more preoccupied with making Facebook posts via your phone than appreciating the time you have with people around you.
