      Kickstart Disability Arts & Culture presents the Kickstart 5 Festival from September 5 to 8 at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews). The four-day public arts and culture festival features live performances, creative workshops, a visual arts exhibit, public forum, and other activities.

      This year’s festival features an impressive lineup of artists, including Montreal-based break-dancer/ B-boy Luca “LazyLegz” Patuelli, local singer-songwriter Christa Couture, Winnipeg-based comedian Big Daddy Tazz, local musician/soundscape artist sylvi macCormac, and performer David Roche.

      A juried art show, titled Magic/Realism, will also be displayed. Twelve B.C. artists including Persimmon Blackbridge, W.N. Pope, Neville Grey, and Ruth Major will be featured. Additionally, more than 40 established and emerging artists will be featured in a non-juried art show, titled Connections.

      Tickets to individual events at the festival can be purchased online in advance.
