The Georgia Straight presents two Said the Whale shows at the Commodore
Live Nation has announced that Vancouver-based indie rock group Said the Whale will perform two shows at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday, December 28, in support of its upcoming album, Hawaii. The group will kick off at 5 p.m. with an early all-ages show and will end the night with a 19+ late show beginning at 9:30 p.m.
Said the Whale has been on a steady upward trajectory for the past six years, as relentless touring and a string of releases have led to successes including a JUNO Award in 2011 for New Group of the Year and nationally charting singles.
Formed in 2007, the band consists of dual songwriters Tyler Bancroft and Ben Worcester, drummer Spencer Schoening, keyboardist Jaycelyn Brown and bassist Nathan Shaw.
Tickets for both shows are priced at $23 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (September 13) at 10 a.m.
Tickets are also available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000, at Red Cat Records, and at all Ticketmaster Outlets.
