Fans at a recent Vancouver Canadians baseball game might have thought they were seeing a flying saucer.

But it turned out to be merely an advertisement for the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre's $500,000 upgrade to the planetarium theatre in Vanier Park.

Today, a public-relations firm that promotes the local planetarium revealed the hoax in a news release that's certain to generate a bunch of "I told you so" responses from UFO skeptics.

What the skeptics will have more difficulty in dismissing is a 2010 book by journalist Leslie Kean entitled UFOs: Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials Go on the Record (Harmony Books).
