Ever wonder how classical music students rebel? Here's how.

One of the youngest string quartets, the New York–based Joyous Quartet, has been playing together since they were four years old and they perform all around the world, showing off their amazing talents.

In a series of videos, they depart from classical music to take on some pop music compositions.

Here they are rocking out to Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal". Now that's what you call smooth, not to mention incredible.

And here's their super cool cover of Katy Perry's "Firework":

Here's their version of "Stereo Hearts" by Gym Class Heroes featuring Adam Levine. Their version features eight-year-old cellist Jun Justin Yu singing Levine's part.

      Watch out, Adam—you've got competition.

For a sample of the quartet playing a classical selection, here's their performance of Vivaldi's "Summer (Presto)".

Yu also appeared on The Ellen Show in September 2014 to chat with DeGeneres and demonstrate his precocious talent.
