Sun to shine on Claire Martin announcement of Green party nomination run

You might recognize Claire Martin from her years of forecasting rain on CBC.

Or maybe you recall the cringeworthy banter that seemed to spill forth from The National anchor Peter Mansbridge whenever they shared the screen.

Either way, Martin is making the news today (April 7) because she's holding a press conference on Wednesday (April 8) with Green Leader Elizabeth May.

According to her former coworkers at CBC News, the meteorologist will announce she is seeking the federal Green nomination in a B.C. riding.

Conservative MP Andrew Saxton currently represents the riding of North Vancouver.

By the way, the Weather Network forecasts Wednesday will be sunny with a high of 14 C in North Van.
