The worst job I've heard about lately was Bao Min Cheng's. He's the guy whose family is suing Hallmark Poultry Processors for overworking him to death.
According to the suit he worked 60 - 70 hours a week lifting chicken carcasses from a conveyor belt and placing them on a hook at or above the level of his head for minimum wage. He died at 40 from heart failure.
I guess maybe chicken carcus lifter didn't make CareerCast.com's list. Some of the jobs mentioned truly are undesirable, but newspaper reporter? I used to be a newspaper reporter many years ago, and it's not even the worst job *I've* ever had. Perhaps not the best career choice today given the reasons cited (declining readership, low salaries) but that's not the same thing as worst job.
