The Georgia straight proudly sponsors the DOXA Documentary Film Festival

      From April 30 to May 10, the DOXA Documentary Film Festival touches down at the Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour), the Cinematheque (1131 Howe), the Vancouver Playhouse (600 Hamilton), SFU's Woodward's Cultural Programs at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts (149 W. Hastings), and the Post at 750 (750 Hamilton).

      The theme of this year's celebration of documentaries features a spotlight on satire, subversion, and people who like to upend the established order.

      Films on offer include Hit to Pass, Deep Web, Seven Digital Deadly Sins Live, I Think You're Totally Wrong: A Quarrel, Theory of Obscurity: A Film About the Residents, Orion: The Man Who Would Be King, From My Syrian Room, The Yes Men Are Revolting, Seth Dominion, and Tab Hunter Confidential.

      Tickets for the DOXA Documentary Film Festival start at $11 and are available online in advance.
