Vancouver Canucks hope to rally fans with new playoff campaign

    1 of 1 2 of 1

There were definitely some negatives to come out of Game 4 of the Vancouver Canucks-Calgary Flames series.

Those included the Canucks not bothering to show up after the first period, Michael Ferkland (or whatever his name is) mercilessly pounding Kevin Bieksa at every turn, and Eddie Lack being chased from the goal.

The 3-1 loss to the Flames hurt too.

On the postive side, the Canucks have decided that it's not over until it's over. And to drive home that reality, they've unveiled a new ad campaign, which consists solely of the illustration above.

      Go Canucks!

When Canuck fans riot , as they will no matter what the outcome, this time just use live rounds.

Lol. Awesome campaign. Given that it's rare to see Canucks flags, I don't think that Vancouver really believed that we had a contender here. Changing coaches and GM's is good for the future, but the current team passed it's best before date a couple of seasons ago and they screwed themselves by signing the twins to a 4 year contract.

I believe the team will need to go through what Calgary has for the last 5 or 6 years, with basement dwelling teams and high round draft picks as a result. Calgary does have a bright future and Vancouver will again too, but not with this crew and not in the foreseeable future. I just want to get the season over with.

Hilarious... Enya would be appropriate. Or The Eagles and their 'Peaceful Easy Feeling'. Where is John Tortorella these days, he's got to be loving this right now. Everything he had to say about our Canucks, with or without Trevor... is true. John Tortorella you rock dude.

End of Era? The Canucks have been a gong show since the Griffiths family sold them to John McCaw in 1997.

Any team in Vancouver is liable to be a gong show, but at least they did have an exciting few years that brought us to the SC finals and of course, another memorable riot.
