A controversy with Native Americans has erupted during an Adam Sandler movie shoot.

Video obtained by Indian Country Today Media Network shows First Nations actors expressing concerns with a producer over how indigenous people were being portayed in The Ridiculous Six, which is being shot for Netflix.

The name is a play on the title of the classic western, The Magnificent Seven.

"Here's the thing," the producer says on the video. "If you're overly sensitive about it...then you should probably leave."

Some extras ended up walking off the set. The actors objected to a character being named Beaver's Breath.

The film's costars include Taylor Lautner, Will Forte, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Nick Nolte, and Danny Trejo.

Lip News commentators Jose Marcelino Ortiz and Nik Zecevic noted in the video below that Sandler's career appears to be on the decline.

According to Box Office Mojo, Sandler's last big financial success was Grown Ups 2, which generated $133.7 million in 2013.

Didn't the people who've walked off the shoot receive the storyline before signing up for the gig, and, know how Sandler has earned his living through cheap humour?
