      The Rio Theatre hosts the seventh-season finale of Paul Anthony's Talent Time, featuring a live obstacle course by the Vancouver Rabbit Agility Club, the 50-person Sardis Drumline, sketch comedians Cameron Macleod and Nima Gholamipour, and standup comedian Kyle Bottom.

      Mayor of Victoria Lisa Helps and happiness expert John Helliwell explore the intersection of politics, governance, policy, and happier communities at the Museum of Vancouver.

      Speakers at the Lift Cannabis Forum discuss the future of cannabis regulation and standardization in Canada. Held at UBC Robson Square.

      Shuyu Kong talks about popular media and the cultural public sphere in contemporary China. Held at SFU Harbour Centre.

      TAKE ACTION

      Researcher and climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe share her experiences and distinct perspective. Held at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts.

      COMEDY

      The PAL Theatre hosts Giggles & Gags, featuring TV-show parodies, celebrity impressions, and sketches. Proceeds go to the Kettle Society and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

      Comedian Dan Quinn performs at the Comedy MIX. Quinn is known for appearing at Just for Laughs, the Moncton Comedy Festival, and the Vancouver Comedy Festival.

      ARTS ETC

      The B.C. Buds Festival features almost 30 music, theatre, dance, and interdisciplinary artists. Held at the Firehall Arts Centre.

      DANCE

      Ballet B.C. closes out its current season with RITE, featuring the choreography of Emily Molnar and Gustavo Ramirez Sansano. Held at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

      MUSIC

      Friends of Chamber Music presents a performance of some of Shostakovich's string quartets. Held at the Vancouver Playhouse.

      MOVIES

      The ANZA Club hosts a meet-and-greet evening  with indie-film actors, creators, and fans.

      SFU's Woodward's Cultural Programs at Goldcorp Centre for the Arts screens Sisters, a documentary about health workers from Ethiopia, Cambodia, and Haiti.
