3:01 Pick Me Up: Jefferson Airplane

    1 of 2 2 of 2

Let’s face it: 3 p.m. is the cruellest time of the workday. The morning latte has worn off, and the post-lunch crash has you staggering around like an extra from a George A. Romero flick. That’s why, each weekday at 3:01 p.m., we present you with a video hand-picked to kick-start your heart.

Today’s offering: Sure Jefferson Airplane ruined a pretty great legacy once it morphed into a Starship and starting singing about building cities on shitty rock 'n' roll. But despite that, it's impossible not to have a soft spot for the band back when Haight-Ashbury was the coolest intersection on the planet.

If you look into Grace Slick's eyes long enough in this clip from The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour she will completely hypnotize you. Especially if you've just smoked a giant White Rabbit-brand fatty. And after that happens, don't forget to feed your head.
