CTV Vancouver has tweeted the above photo of a dead whale floating in Burrard Inlet.

The TV station reports the large marine mammal was spotted near a Port Metro Vancouver pier.

Officials with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans are investigating, according to CTV.

On April 8, Burrard Inlet became the scene of an oil spill, after the MV Marathassa leaked bunker fuel into Vancouver's English Bay.
