Won't speeders please think of the children?

This is how Surrey RCMP have been trying to get the "speed kills" message out to drivers in school zones.

Pictures, such as the one above, were drawn by students at Surrey public schools and handed out to over 960 drivers.

Backed by the Surrey school board and ICBC, the "Think of Me" campaign ran for two months in 12 school zones.

According to a news release, "One 24 hour suspension was given and one drug seizure was made."

I know a family who had a child killed by an aggressive driver. I doubt they've gone an hour, for decades, without thinking about it. This isn't funny.
