The Georgia Straight presents Destroyer at the Commodore

Live Nation has announced that Canadian indie-rock group Destroyer will play a show--with guests Frog Eyes--at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday, October 17, in support of its latest album, Poison Season

Destroyer's Dan Bejar has long displayed a chameleon-like instinct for change, while maintaining a unified aesthetic. No two records sound the same, but they’re always uniquely Destroyer. His latest incarnation often appears to take sonic cues from a distinctly British (usually Scottish, to be precise) strain of sophisti-pop: you might hear traces of Aztec Camera, Prefab Sprout, Orange Juice, or the Blow Monkeys.

Tickets for the 19+ show are currently on sale on the Live Nation website and are priced at $23.50 (plus service charges and fees).

Tickets will also be available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000, at Red Cat Records, and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
