The Georgia Straight presents MEC Vancouver Bikefest

      This weekend, MEC Vancouver will be showing bikes some love by throwing a party in their honour. 

      MEC will be celebrating Bikefest at its flagship store at 130 West Broadway on Saturday (May 30) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,

      The free event gives cyclists of all experience levels the opportunity to test ride its range of bikes, browse exhibitors' booths, score deals at the legendary MEC GearSwap, or learn a range of new skills at MEC's clinics and talks.

      MEC Vancouver also features performance group rides, a variety of food vendors, prizes, and more.

      MEC bike techs are fabulous. They are so patient and helpful. I will be at Bikefest on Saturday

      Regardless of how good the bike mechanics are, this is merely a sales effort to get people to buy more of their overpriced, trendy crap.
