The best cafe au lait in Vancouver

French coffee is amazing. I wish we had more of it in Vancouver. Unlike coffees that are sold all over the place, French coffee is distinctly mellow, smooth, and unique, much like Paris itself.

I don't know whether it's their brewing technique or the beans that exude such tranquility after one gulp. Surprisingly, I found that exact flavour at West Elm Market in the South Granville neighbourhood. It has a small cafe area that sells the best $2 cafe au lait.

The beans are made by La Colombe. West Elm sells a can for $15. It's processed in Philadelphia, where La Colombe is headquartered. And how can $2 go wrong?
