Video: Topless Femen protesters scream that Montreal is not a brothel

    1 of 1 2 of 1

The Grand Prix festivities in Montreal got off to a rocky start this year when Femen crashed the party.

The sextremist group has a habit of going topless to drive home its criticism of patriarchy, organized religion, and sexism.

Two protesters doffed their shirts to reveal the slogans "Slavery is not a choice" and "My body is not your business."

They oppose the exploitation of women and sex tourism that they believe is associated with the annual Formula One race.

As they were hustled away, they screamed, "Montreal is not a brothel!"

Interesting that when the 'heavy' security guy arrives the camera doesn't film him hauling the woman Femen protestor away.

For a completely different approach to car racing-empowered women drivers- looks like a really interesting film will be playing 6:30 pm. Sat. June 13 at Vancity Theatre-"Speed Sisters".
"The Speed Sisters are the first all-women race car driving team in the Middle East. They’re bold. They’re fearless. And they’re tearing up tracks all over Palestine."
      Wow!
A gang of us 'girls' are going-first car racing film i've ever been to.

Another solution to stoping prostitution is for woman to stop selling them selfs.

In order for a transaction to be both a buy AND a seller. Why is all the blame on men? Seems very sexist.

Woman need to be much more accountable for the choices they make and stop blaming men for every single problem they have in life.

In the case of prostitution men are users ad woman are dealers. We need to criminalize the dealers and provide help for the users.

men who sell sex from a woman are taking advantage of a woman's bad life situation, may that be through trafficker, pimp, economic problems or violence in her past. his money is a manipulation tool to get sex from her that she wouldnt want to have otherwise. so he is not better than any other rapist (most punters know or suspect that the women they go to in brothels are pimped and forced to do so). survivors of prostitution thus call the prostitutional act "paid rape". and the method to bear what is done to them is exactely the same like with rape: separating mind and body (dissociation). the result is also the same: post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, drug use and self-harming. for more information see http://spaceinternational.ie/

      'empowered women drivers'. Lol.

Try looking up Shirley Muldowney, Janet Guthrie, Sarah Fisher, Danica Patrick, Courtney and Brittany Force et al. MALE race fans know all about empowered women drivers, so what's your excuse?

      danica is empowered?

Sad that in 2015 women still have to go to such extremes to try and obtain full human rights and equality.
      It's a man's world...
Probably why it's so messed up.
