Canadian Women's National Soccer team star Sophie Schmidt kicks it cool in Vancouver duds

Ahead of Canadian Women's National Soccer team's opening win over China this weekend, soccer star Sophie Schmidt was looking chic in a tie, shirt, and suit by some local style houses.

That tie you see was the new Give & Go French Knot by Cursor & Thread. The No. 1 Oxford white shirt and black suit came from East Van's Peau De Loup, which has launched a Canada Soccer Collection in honour of the FIFA Women's World Cup.

Fine bow-tie purveyors Cursor and Thread partnered with Vancouver's Peau De Loup to add to their official off-the-field uniform for Team Canada.

Now here's hoping the cool, pink-and-blond-crop-topped Abbotsford-raised athlete can kick it as well on the field, as she did in this killer long-shot goal against England in the pre-World Cup game on May 30.
