I'm expecting the 'yes' vote to win. Not that I want that personally, but being the skeptic I am, I do expect to go that way.

Agreed - The 'yes' vote was far more organized and committed, which should overcome the knee-jerk, public policy illiterate, anti-tax mob egged on by corporate shills like Jordan Bateman.

People don't believe there will be any benefit except to the hirise developers.
And most people aren't sucked in by the 'sustainable development' doctrine.
Oh.. and everybody hates zealots on bicycles. So.

Taxpayers rightly rejected the ill-conceived Plebiscite. Taxpayers paid $744 million in taxes to TransLink in 2014. Where did that money go? Why they can't use this huge amount of money to build transit infrastructure?
TransLink is known for bad management and wasting taxpayers' money. Compass card system with a total cost of $314 million is a complete waste of money. Paying 2 CEOs very high salaries is another example. TransLink has 4 Boards of Directors, that's another example of wastage of money.
