      Looking for something to do on Sunday? The Straight’s got you covered. Here are nine events happening in or around Vancouver on Sunday, July 5.

       

      CONCERTS

      Youth-involved festival Adstock features alternative music by the Brass Action, Unbeheld, the Still Spirits, and Vacant Eyes. Held at Memorial Peace Park.

      The Rogue Folk Club presents West Virginia old-time musicians Anna & Elizabeth, with Seattle-based artist Eli West, at the St. James Hall.

       

      KIDS' STUFF

      At the VanDusen Botanical Garden, kids can make mini toadstools, elaborate doors, and more for a fairy garden of their own.

       

      DANCE

      At Robson Square, Sunday Afternoon Salsa features a salsa-dance lesson and a dance show (pictured above).

       

      ET CETERA

      The Vancouver Comicon features artists Douglas Wheatley (Star Wars: Dark Times), James Stevenson, and Beth Wagner. Held at Heritage Hall.

       

      MUSIC

      As part of the Ryerson Summer Music Festival, the Vancouver Wind Quartet performs works by Beethoven, Klughardt, Ewazen, Ibert, and Malcolm Arnold. Held at Ryerson United Church.

       

      GALLERIES

      Work by First Nations artists Beau Dick and Gigame Walis Gyiyam is on display at the Bill Reid Gallery of Norhtwest Coast Art until September 27.

       

      ATTRACTIONS

      Highlights of the Vancouver Aquarium include wet labs, new interactive shows, behind-the-scenes experiences, and up-close displays.

      At the Cultus Lake Water Park, you can take in tube slides, body slides, a float-along simulated river, a kids' wading pool, and a playground with interactive toys.

       

      SPORTS

      B.C. Place Stadium hosts the final game of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, featuring teams from the U.S. and Japan.
